Speculate
I did not come from a formal academic background nor I did not have good grades.
I was placed in Special Ed in 6th grade where I was labeled as “Learning Disabled.”
It wasn’t even that I’m unable to learn, it was more like everything was so boring that my mind was unable to refrain from wandering.
My mind would drift, unabidden, to whatever speculation I had.
A speculation that often entered my mind was “how does everything come from nothing.”
I would imagine tiny fluctuating magnetic spheres and joke that “everything is made of tiny bubbles.”
I never understood how a tiny bubble could become energy, or matter. How; steel, dirt, diamond, flesh, mind… soul; could all be so impossibly different yet all made of the same bubbles.
A speculation that I had all but given up on trying to understand. Until a few months ago..
One morning I had a dream about eddies, whirlpools in an ocean.
They were swirling and dancing and everywhere. The more they interacted the more there where.
Swirling about, only they weren’t in The Ocean. Not our’s, not water.
I saw red. Not blood. Not fire. Just red. There was a black static moving, swirling, or.. was the red the static only more dense..
I woke abruptly with one thing on my mind. 4 words..
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation.
I couldn’t shake it.. what did it mean?
I started to speculate what the swirls had to do with anything and then I started to see it.
I thought about something I heard somewhere online.
”Even in vacuum state, there is movement.”
I decided that I know at least 1 “person” that knows physics… GPT.
I asked GPT if vacuum space is still, and I ended up with the term Zero Point Energy.
I laughed as I said “in the beginning there was only potential.”
The laugh faded, because I started to understand my dream.
The quantum field is always fluctuating.. “if one state was to land on another state, it would cause an impossibility.. which is impossible.” I had figured.
”The Universe will always resolve an impossibility.” I thought to myself.
”This will nudge the state to a new location in space/time.. causing a lot of movement.”
I started passing my speculation to GPT, saving that whole conversation and pasting it in Google Gemini to help validated what GPT said.
I would then go back to GPT and continue my speculating “how could this step get to that step?”
I saw centripetal force pulling at the CMB, that when I started thinking about fluid cohesion.
